Drops asymmetric vest 129-15

This weekend I went to a reunion at Rauland Høgfjellshotell. I grew up in Liberia, and for those of us who has lived there, this is a bi-annual chance to meet and catch up. Here is the view from my hotel room:
Look at the mountains in the background. Beautiful!
Before I went, I managed to finish the vest in linnen wich I started some time a go. All those endless rows of purl demanded that I worked on something a bit more interesting in between. A boring knit, but I'm happy with the result.
The colour is neutral and will fit with anything, and the linen gets very soft with wear. I like the pointed sides, perfect for those of us who are "blessed" with so called child-bearing hips.....
The pointed sides are acquired by increasing every other row by doing a yarn over, and then knitting it through the front loop to leave  a small hole that forms a simple pattern in the sides. Neat.
My only complaint is that the linen leaves trails of little woolly linen pieces all over the rest of ones clothing. I wore it over a black t-shirt, not a good idea! I hope it will shed less after a few times in the washer.
Pattern: Knitted DROPS asymmetric vest
Yarn: Drops Lin, nearly 5 skeins
Needles: 4.5mm
Ravelled here
Yeela is wondering what's going on.
What are you doing?

  1. Nydelig natur og stilig vest! Det er et sånt plagg som passer til alle anledninger. Vrangmasker er kjedelig, men vel verdt strevet i dette tilfellet! :)
