Cladonia

This was a quick, easy and fun shawl to knit!
All the time while I was knitting, my daughter kept saying: I don't understand why you are knitting in those colours, those are exactly my colours, you don't have anything that goes with grey and black!
I told her it could be a house shawl, so that anybody who wanted to use it could do so.
She was happy to model for me.
The shawl was knitted in an alpaca/silk blend, lovely drape! When I had this much left to bind off, the yarn finished! So that last little bit of picot bind off is knitted in pure alpaca.
It doesn't show, unless you go very very close!
Pattern: Cladonia form Through the loops
Yarn: Drops baby alpaca silk
Needles: 4.5mm
Ravelled here
The next time I knit a striped shawl, I will knit the stripes in the same colour, but in different fibers. Alpaca and tussah silk. I think that will look nice. But the next time I will start with the lace edging, so that the yarn doesn't finish where it shows the most. Andrea's Shawl perhaps? This colour is a dusty, powdery pink. Taupe?
But first I have to finish the Rock Island I started yesterday.
Malawi says he has stuff to do too.
Washing Yeela for example.
Ninja is just happy somebody finally got it right and put out a soft bed for her to lie down on in the sun.
